Synopsis
It follows the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way in a world that sees it as old-fashioned. James Gunn tweeted that his father’s death was an influence on the script. The film’s release date, July 11, 2025, was his father’s birthday. When James Gunn originally finished the first draft of the script, he called the film Superman: Legacy. By the time he closed the final draft, it was clear to him that the title was SUPERMAN.
