Synopsis
On an island of haves and have-nots, teenager John B enlists his three best friends to hunt for a legendary treasure linked to his father’s disappearance. Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, and their “OBX” castmates quiz each other on the best lines from their popular Netflix series. It was filmed in Charleston, South Carolina; it was originally supposed to be filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.
I’ve never stopped
Like you, I’ve been hiding out watching Netflix and Prime. I’ve watched everything under the sun. This had just come out on Netflix and I started watching it.
It’s a fun and enjoyable show
The cast is extraordinary… every actor nails it. The story moves at an engaging pace until the end, but looking back, each episode could be considered unique… on its own. It’s a remarkable accomplishment and kudos to the writers.
The genre is hard to categorize
It’s rated M, but there’s no nudity or blood. I don’t see any reason why a 13-year-old can’t watch it. It’s funny, has lots of mini-adventures, lots of misadventures, romance, shipwrecks, storms, fires, gunshots, dark beer, prison, boys saving girls, girls saving boys, dads are demons, dads are angels, treasure maps…
Perfect for a quarantine
